Deutsch The Jungfraujoch in Switzerland, known as the ‘Top of Europe’ is Europe's highest mountain railway station from which you can enjoy stunning mountain views of
the Bernese Oberland and a leisurely stroll onto the snow plateaus. The Sphinx, which is the viewing platform, is 11,760 feet high and reached via a lift which travels up through the mountain some 300 feet.
Wengen, near Interlaken is a very convenient place to stay to visit the Jungfraujoch as the train station in the town goes directly up the mountain. Wengen is a beautiful town with magnificent views of the Mönch and Eiger mountains and is the venue of the International Ski Championships.
